San'ao Nuclear Power Station: A Green Energy Milestone
Located in Cangnan County, Wenzhou, Zhejiang, the San'ao Nuclear Power Station marks China’s first civil nuclear project with private capital investment. Approved during Zhejiang’s 14th Five-Year Plan, it will host 6×1.2GW Hualong One reactors (totaling 7.2GW) across three phases, with Phase I (Units 1-2) launched in 2020–2021 and Phase II (Units 3-4) approved in August 2024.
