Product Overview
The Cat6 STP 4 Pair Shielded Network Cable is a high-performance Ethernet cable engineered for interference-sensitive and high-speed transmission environments. Adopting shielded twisted pair (STP) structure, it effectively minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMI) and crosstalk, ensuring stable and secure data transmission for industrial networking, smart building cabling, and data center infrastructure.
This cable supports Gigabit Ethernet speeds up to 1000Mbps with a 250MHz bandwidth, built with 99.99% oxygen-free copper (OFC) conductors for superior conductivity and long-distance signal integrity. Equipped with a durable PVC jacket (LSZH optional) and professional shielding design, it meets international industry standards and is fully compatible with standard RJ45 connectors and patch panels, making it the ideal choice for high-reliability structured cabling systems.
Core Advantages
- Superior Shielding Performance: Single-sided aluminum foil (0.07mm) wrapping for 4 twisted pairs, 25dB higher anti-interference capability than unshielded cables (up to 90dB in optimal conditions), suitable for high EMI requirement scenarios.
- High-Quality Conductor: 99.99% OFC core ensures low resistance and stable signal transmission, no signal attenuation for long-distance laying.
- Standard Compliance: Meets YD/T 926.2-2009 and TIA568c standards, performance indicators exceed Cat6 baseline requirements.
- Easy Installation: Central cross PE framework separates 4 wire pairs, reducing construction difficulty and improving laying efficiency; built-in rip cord for quick jacket stripping.

FAQ
Q1: When should I choose LSZH jacket instead of PVC for Cat6 STP cable?
A1: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket is recommended for confined spaces such as data center modular containers, high-rise building core tubes and subway stations—its halogen acid gas emission is <0.5% of conductor weight, with low smoke and non-toxic characteristics in case of fire, reducing secondary damage. Our LSZH Cat6 STP cable meets IEC 60754-1 standard, with pH 4.3 conductivity (<10μS/mm) and light transmittance >80%, exceeding CPR Cca requirements for European markets.
Q2: Is Cat6 STP cable suitable for outdoor modular data centers?
A2: The standard Cat6 STP cable is for indoor use only. For outdoor modular data centers, we provide UV-resistant customized version with PE jacket added 2% carbon black, which can withstand 720-hour UV exposure (ASTM G154) and adapt to -40°C to +75°C operating temperature (IEC 60721-3-4 class 4K4). For direct burial laying, additional IP68-rated armored protection can be equipped to resist 2000N crush load and groundwater immersion, with 15-year service life verified in UAE desert climate applications.
Q3: Why is STP cable a better choice than UTP for modular data centers?
A3: Modular data centers have high-density power distribution units (PDUs) and electronic equipment, which generate strong electromagnetic interference (EMI). Shielded twisted pair (STP) cable can effectively isolate EMI, while unshielded (UTP) cable has a 300% higher error rate when routed near VFD drives. Our Cat6 STP cable meets TIA-1005-A standard and IEC 61156-5 standard, with shielding effectiveness >40dB coupling attenuation, maintaining a bit error rate (BER) of <10⁻¹² in high-interference environments, fully meeting the stability requirements of modular data center cabling.
Q4: What is the difference between Cat6 STP and Cat6 SFTP cable?
A4: Cat6 STP adopts aluminum foil shielding for each twisted pair (foil shield), which is suitable for general EMI environments such as ordinary data centers and smart buildings; Cat6 SFTP adds overall braided shielding on the basis of foil shielding, with higher anti-interference capability (up to 100dB+), suitable for heavy industrial environments with ultra-high EMI such as steel mills and power plants. Our factory can provide both STP and SFTP versions to meet different project interference resistance requirements.
Installation & Application
Applicable Scenarios
- Indoor horizontal work area cabling in commercial and industrial buildings
- Data center server room and equipment room structured cabling
- Industrial Ethernet cabling for factory automation and intelligent manufacturing
- Smart building comprehensive wiring (intelligent monitoring, building control systems)
- High-interference industrial environments and precision electronic equipment networking
Installation Notes
- Avoid excessive bending during laying, ensure bending radius ≥8×cable outer diameter to prevent conductor damage and performance degradation.
- Do not pull the cable with excessive force, control tensile strength within the standard range to avoid core breakage.
- Keep away from high-voltage power cables, electromagnetic equipment and other interference sources during routing to maximize shielding effect.
- For fire-sensitive areas (e.g., data center air-handling spaces), select LSZH jacket version to meet fire safety and environmental protection requirements.
- The cable is for indoor use only, do not lay directly in outdoor exposed or humid environments without additional protection.
